Our hunts take place in the Mountains of West Texas. Although we can cover a lot of ground on 4 wheel drive vehicles. This hunt can still be physically demanding and will be to your advantage to be in good physical shape. This is not a high fenced hunt over water, this a true free range hunt and these sheep live in “Sheep Country”! We hunt elevations of 4500-6500 feet on some rugged rocky terrain in a typical desert habitat. With temperatures ranging from 20 degrees to 85 degrees. Shots average between 250 and 300 yards, although terrain can cause some shots to be 400+ yards. It is important that you are proficient and know your rifle at these Ranges. These are tough animals and we recommend at least a .270 Caliber Rifle.
